The former president of Georgia, the former head of the Odesa Oblast State Administration, Mikheil Saakashvili, said that he is not planning to take part in the elections, but he help the process of renewing the political elites in Ukraine.

Saakashvili said this at the Kyiv Boryspil Airport, where he arrived from Warsaw, UNIAN informs.

“I myself will not take part in any elections, but, of course, I will contribute and help the process of renewing the political elites in Ukraine in order to completely deliverance from the people who plundered Ukraine. Of course, I will do everything to bring many new people,” Saakashvili said.

In addition, Saakashvili said that he had arrived in Ukraine to participate in the construction of a new country with millions of Ukrainians, the new president and his team.

He also thanked President Volodymyr Zelensky for having the honor of being a citizen of Ukraine.

“I believe that Ukraine will succeed. President Zelensky has shown that he is capable of bold and quick decisions, he is an independent politician. When Zelensky returned me citizenship, it was a bold step of a worthy president. This is a historic chance for Ukraine to have such a president and have new opportunities,” Saakashvili stressed.

The decision of the ex-president of Petro Poroshenko to deprive him of his Ukrainian citizenship Saakashvili called “the cowardly decision of an unworthy president.”

As The Journalist reported, Saakashvili will not be able to participate in upcoming parliamentary elections.
