Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine – Chief Military Prosecutor Anatolii Matios said he did not intend to resign.
“I never felt like being packed and ready to go, because, firstly there is no reason for that, secondly there is not a trend and thirdly the military regulations that stipulate that the ‘packing of suitcases’ is an escape or desertion,” noted Matios on the air of 112 Ukraine TV channel.
He also added that his contract was signed until October of this year. And he, as a conscious Ukrainian, will continue to fulfill the terms of his military contract and serve further if the war does not end in the form in which it is now.
“I will probably be the last one of those who can take a suitcase and leave, leaving statehood for being destroy by the enemy,” said the Chief Military Prosecutor.
As The Journalist reported, Matios responded to Russian journalists’ statement about his “escape” from Ukraine.
