President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky submitted a bill to the Verkhovna Rada to postpone the launch of a new electricity market from July 1, 2019 to July 1, 2020.

This was announced by the representative of the President of Ukraine in the Cabinet of Ministers, Andriy Gerus.

“Unfortunately, over 2 years the preparation works for a new market have not been done properly. Thus, in order to prevent a sharp increase in tariffs and crises in the electricity market, postponing of a launch of the new market model has been initiated. At the same time, a monthly plan to prepare for the relevant changes is to be developed and implemented”, Gerus said.

The presidential representative stressed that the head of state also submitted to Parliament a bill on the renewal of the “green” tariff for terrestrial domestic solar power plants (DSPP) with a capacity of up to 30 kW.

Both bills are considered as priorities.

As reported by The Journalist, Zelensky initiated dismissal of all regional governors.
