The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov has sent a clarification letter to the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Ukraine, in which he outlined the length of stay in Ukraine of the former head of the presidential administration of Yanukovych, Andrii Kliuiev. Avakov wrote about this on his Facebook page.

According to Avakov, he held a conference call with the units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine on the current situation and, based on its results sent a letter to the CEC.

“I hope that it will serve as the basis for the CEC’s decision to ban Andrii Kliuiev from the participation in the elections,” the minister wrote.

The text of the letter reveals that Andrii Kliuiev left Ukraine together with the former President Viktor Yanukovych in 2014, and did not live on the territory of the state for the past five years. He also did not cross the border, because he evades the investigation conducted against him by the law enforcers.

As The Journalist reported, Supreme Court allows Kliuiev to participate in parliamentary elections.
