The experts from the California Institute of Technology have pinpointed the origin of an unusual signal from space, as their press center reports.

According to the researchers, they managed to register a new single radio burst, which received the designation FRB 190523.

They noted that the outbreak of radio emission came from the galaxy at a distance of 7.9 billion light- years away.

However, the exact location is quite difficult to determine, the scientists clarified.

This galaxy is similar to the Milky Way.

“This discovery shows that every galaxy, even one as ordinary as our Milky Way, can generate FRB signals”, the scientists said.
