The European Union will support the implementation of the “State in the smartphone” concept, the Presidential press service said.

The Presidential Advisor Mykhailo Fedorov has presented a digital action plan to the European partners.

“We have clear plans for the year and KPI [Key Performance Indicators – ed.] until 2024. “A state in a smartphone” for me means that any Ukrainian can solve any of his living or business situations online in a single click and, preferably, from his smartphone; when a citizen will forever forget how an official looks like and where he is; when Ukrainians will be able to take an active part in the state-building through a smartphone, that is, electronic petitions, consultations and even elections,” stressed Fedorov.

The representatives of the European Commission informed of the preparation of an international project on assistance to Ukraine (25 million Euros) for the development of the digital economy and e-governance: they also provided their recommendations to the “state in a smartphone” concept.

“The key proposals were related to the development of identification of citizens, introduction of an effective management structure for the sphere’s development and organization of the implementation of the ambitious tasks set,” the report says.
