The deputy head of the Crimean human rights group, Volodymyr Chekrygin, at the OSCE human dimension meeting in Warsaw, said that people involved in the case of the so called “Ukrainian saboteurs”, Volodymyr Prysych and Yevhen Panov were tortured with electric shock, forcing them to “confess” in their ties with Ukrainian intelligence service. This was reported by the Crimean human rights group on Facebook.
“Prysych was attached to a chair, wires were tied to his toes. The electric shock tortures continued for at least eight hours, during which Prisych was forced to make a confession on camera. The record of his confession in his work for Ukraine’s intelligence was made the next day,” the human rights activist said.
Another person involved in the case of “Ukrainian saboteurs”, Yevhen Panov, was tortured with electric shock.
“In addition to being forced to confess on camera, Yevhen was forced to write a refusal from the services of a lawyer, hired by his relatives, in favor of a lawyer appointed by investigators,” the message says.
