The Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine explained that the personal sanctions imposed by the EU Council against the former president of Ukraine, Viktor Yanukovych, remain in force until March 6, 2020.
EU General Court by its decision dated September 24, 2019 annulled a Council of the European Council decision of imposing sanctions against Yanukovych, which were in force from March 5, 2018 to March 4, 2019. The hearing in this case took place on June 6, 2019.
“Thus, sanctions against Viktor Yanukovych, in accordance with Decision of the Council of the EU No.2019 / 119 / CFSP of March 4, 2019, are remain in force until March 6, 2020,” the department said.
