Germany provided Ukraine with almost EUR 1.4 bln since 2014

Since 2014, Germany has provided almost € 1.4 billion of financial assistance to Ukraine. According to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), Germany is second to the EU and the United States in terms of assistance to Ukraine. This is reported by DW.

About EUR 544 million has been allocated for development cooperation since 2014. In addition, Germany has provided Ukraine with EUR 110 million of humanitarian aid, not to mention loans total EUR 500 million. Another EUR 25 million were spent on events aimed to stabilize the situation, including monitoring the conflict in east Ukraine.

Germany is the third largest donor for Ukraine after the European Union and the United States.

As The Journalist reported, Germany to provide EUR 5.8 mln for ICRC projects in Ukraine.
