Infrastructure Minister Vladyslav Krykliy has said that the Ministry of Infrastructure aims to increase the share of low-cost airlines in Ukraine’s aviation market up to 45% in 2020, and up to 63% in the future.
To Krykliy, the Ministry of Infrastructure implements a set of measures for the further successful development of the aviation industry.
“An important task is to increase the share of low-cost airlines in the Ukrainian aviation market to 45% in 2020, and to 63% in the future,” the minister said.
The optimization of taxation for Ukrainian carriers will reduce the cost of tickets for domestic flights.
“The budget provides for reconstruction and development of new airports in Dnipro, Mukachevo and Izmail. The budget for 2020 includes UAH 1 billion, which is 5 times more than in 2019. Active work to attract private investors to the development of regional airports is also underway. In particular, airport concession planned in Kherson, Chernivtsi and Zaporizhzhia,” Krykliy emphasized.
The minister also added that the growth of passenger flows through the airports of Ukraine is an important indicator of the economic development of the state and at the same time a powerful signal to investors.
