Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Agrarian and Land Policy Mykola Solsky said that the cost of a hectare of land after the launch of the land market this year may increase to 20% relative to the current price on the “gray” market.
According to Solsky, currently prices per hectare on the “gray” market are in line with the normative monetary value (about UAH 27,500 per hecter) plus 10-15%. And price could slightly increase in 2020, regardless of the introduction of the land market, the head of the Committee noted.
The deputy believes that “due to the fact that this will be an understandable tool, market participants will be ready to pay from 10% to 20% for this,” UNIAN reports.
Solsky also added that Ukrainians will not be able to sell and buy land at a cheaper price than normative monetary value, and notaries will regulate this.
“Notary will control prices. If the price will be less than the normative monetary value, he will not certify the contract. Moreover, the price of the contract, according to the anti-raider law adopted last year, will be driven directly into the base. This will be public information, and may also be a generalization at the regional level,” the parliamentarian emphasized.
