The State Statistics Service of Ukraine stated that the bread price (first grade flour) in December 2019 increased by 12% compared to December 2018 and amounted to UAH 19.58 per kg.
Also, the average bread price (premium flour) in Ukraine for the year increased to UAH 23.91/kg, or 10%.
In December 2019, rye and rye-wheat bread went up by 13.6% (compared to the year 2018), to UAH 20.74 per kg, and a sliced loaf – by 10.3%, to UAH 13.86 per 0.5 kg
The State Statistics Service added that the data do not include information from the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the city of Sevastopol and part of the temporarily occupied territories in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts.
