The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine revealed information on the purchase of Kozak-2M1 military armored vehicles in order to equip combat units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with them.
These armored combat vehicles are significantly smaller than the Kozak-2 and Wart armored vehicles in terms of projection and weight, which is caused by operational and tactical requirements provided directly by the airborne assault troops and special operations forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The indicated armored vehicles have been used by the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for almost two years (including in the JFO area) and positively assessed it.
Funds for the purchasing Kozak-2 and Warta specialized armored vehicles are provided only for the final settlement of state contracts concluded in 2019 by the draft key indicators in the state defense order for 2020. The conclusion of new contracts for the purchase of this equipment is not planned in 2020.
