Formal Deputy FM of Ukraine, Olena Zerkal, was appointed adviser to the chairman of the board of Naftogaz of Ukraine. This was reported by the press center of Naftogaz.
Her duties will include international relations, as well as support for the company’s position in international litigation and arbitration, in particular regarding the Naftogaz’s assets seized by the aggressor country in the occupied Crimea.
The company recalled Olena Zerkal’s working experience gained during her previous activity in Foreign Ministry, which can be useful for the company. She is the author of the Ukrainian methodology for adapting legislation to EU standards, as well as a number of scientific papers on a comparative analysis of Ukrainian legislation.
While working in the Ministry of Justice, she participated in all rounds of negotiations on the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU, the agreement between Ukraine and the EU on readmission and visa facilitation.
