Deputy Prime Minister Kuleba sees no prerequisites for lifting sanctions against ex-officials of Yanukovych time

The Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers sees no signals from the EU about the possibility of lifting sanctions against several former officials of Yanukovych time, namely former Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov, former Minister of Energy Eduard Stavitsky and the eldest son of Viktor Yanukovych, Oleksandr. It is reported by European Truth.

Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Dmytro Kuleba said that in order to discuss the lifting of sanctions against certain ex-officials of the Yanukovych regime, there must be corresponding requests from the EU, but there are no such requests so far.

At the same time, he clarified that all information about the possibility of lifting sanctions is based on a report from one journalist.

“For my part, I want to add that we do not see signals from the EU that would indicate the possibility of lifting sanctions against this individuals,” Kuleba added.
