The U.S. Navy destroyer USS Ross crossed the strait into the Black Sea, the command of U.S. Navy 6th fleet reports on Twitter.
On February 23, USS Ross began its strait transit into the Black Sea to conduct maritime security operations and enhance regional maritime stability and naval capabilities with NATO allies and partners in the region.
The destroyer was in the Black Sea and docked at Odesa port in December 2019. This was the fifteenth NATO warships entry in 2019.
A few years earlier, the USS Ross destroyer, along with the American landing ship, participated in the Sea Breeze international exercises.
