Ukravtodor began restoration of roads in 17 oblasts of Ukraine

The Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine stated that the State Road Agency of Ukraine (Ukravtodor) began repair work on 68 road sites in 17 oblasts of Ukraine.

“The Ministry of Infrastructure and Ukravtodor have carried out appropriate preparatory work to start road works as early as possible under favorable weather conditions. It is planned to restore at least 4,000 km of roads in 2020, and we are already working for this,” Minister Vladyslav Krykliy said.

The ministry noted that the number of road sites, where repair work has already begun, is increasing daily on the map of Ukraine. At this stage, depending on the object, are carried out geodetic and drainage works, milling of the existing coating, etc..

“We plan to do such works on road facilities on a regular basis. During peak hours, we will additionally coordinate our work with the National Police to properly manage traffic and warn citizens. In addition, Ukravtodor has another form of control over the work of contractors,” the head of Ukravtodor Oleksandr Kubrakov said.

The work is already underway in Vynnytsia, Volyn, Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Zakarpattia, Kyiv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Mykolaiv, Lviv, Luhansk, Odesa, Rivne, Poltava, Sumy, Khmelnytska, Chernivtsi and Cherkassy oblasts.
