The Ministry of Health of Ukraine said that Lviv, Chernivtsi and Zakarpattia oblasts are consider to have the largest influx of people from Italy and will be the first ones to receive test systems to detect a new coronavirus, and specialists will undergo appropriate training.
“The temperature control is carried out at airports, as well as at certain checkpoints on the western border of the country with epidemiologists and emergency teams work at the sites,” the ministry reports.
It takes on average 5-7 hours to get the result from the moment the laboratory took sample.
“Diagnosis will be carried out exclusively in cases that meet the epidemiological and clinical definition specified by WHO recommendations. Testing will be conducted by the virological reference laboratory of the Center for Public Health of Ukraine. It is impossible to buy a test system for independent use,” the Ministry of Health emphasized.
