Militants use banned mortars, IFV weapons in Donbas

On March 24, the militants violated the ceasefire regime eight times in Donbas, with no casualties among the Ukrainian troops reported, according to the press center of the Joint Forces Operation headquarters.

The enemy used 82mm mortars prohibited by the Minsk agreements, weapons installed on IVFs, grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns and small arms.

In the zone of responsibility of the Skhid [East] tactical group, the enemy shelled Ukrainian positions four times: near Krasnohorivka from an easel anti-tank grenade launcher; near Berezove from an easel anti-tank grenade launcher and heavy machine guns; near Marjinka from an easel anti-tank grenade launcher; near Pavlopil with an automatic easel grenade launcher, heavy machine guns and small arms

Four shellings were recorded in the zone of responsibility of the Pivnich [North] tactical group, namely, near Novooleksandrivka from 82mm mortars (4 shells); near Krymske from 82mm mortars (10 shells), weapons mounted on IVF (BMP-1) and heavy machine guns; near Novotoshkivske from 82mm mortars (11 shells) and an easel anti-tank grenade launcher; near Travneve from 82mm mortar (two shells) and an anti-tank grenade launcher

Units of the Joint Forces fired back to suppress the enemy’s fire activity amid escalation.
