Airline Azur Air Ukraine is preparing to implement cargo transportation on Boeing 767-300 long-range aircraft, according to the Center for Transport Strategies.
To company, given the quarantine imposed by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the closure of state border, the company’s flights are carried out only in evacuation measures in order to return Ukrainian citizens home. In this regard, the carrier incurs losses due to objective circumstances. In this situation, Azur Air Ukraine is looking for opportunities to perform non-passenger flights.
“Yes, the airline’s management is implementing organizational and technical measures to partially configure Boeing 767-300 so it be capable to perform cargo flights; in particular, dismantling passenger seats and so on. Such measures are aimed at ensuring the carrying capacity of Boeing 767-300 passenger aircraft to carry out transportation of medical equipment and drugs, essential goods, etc., as part of humanitarian flights,” Azur Air Ukraine reported.
The airline has six aircraft in its fleet, three of which are Boeing 767-300.
