The Armed Forces of Ukraine recorded the third coronavirus death. An AFU officer from the Lviv region died from COVID-19, according to the press service of the Ukrainian Army’s Medical Forces Command.
The employee was ill since May 11 and was treated at home. On May 18, he went to the hospital due to worsening health conditions. On the same day, he underwent a rapid coronavirus test, which showed negative result.
The patient received all the necessary treatment, but his health condition did not improve. On May 22, he was sent to the Lviv Tuberculosis Hospital, where a laboratory PCR test confirmed coronavirus, but posthumously.
Over the past day, 4 new cases of coronavirus were registered in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In total, 57 servicemen are affected by the coronavirus in the AFU. During the pandemic, 102 people have already recovered, three have died.
