Dzhaparova becomes chairperson of National Commission for UNESCO

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has appointed First Deputy Foreign Minister Emine Dzhaparova as chaiperson of the National Commission of Ukraine for UNESCO. This is stated in presidential decree No. 272 ​​of July 14, 2020.

“To appoint First Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Emine Dzhaparova as Chairperson of the National Commission of Ukraine for UNESCO, relieving [Serhiy] Kyslytsia of these duties,” the document reads.

Serhiy Kyslytsia was the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and the head of the National Commission for UNESCO and dealt with the issue of monitoring the situation in Crimea by international organizations, in particular UNESCO.
