Ukraine works on developing a new economic strategy for government-controlled parts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov.
He called this as the Ukrainian approach to the notion of the special status of the region.
“It is better to describe it as the Ukrainian approach to the notion of special status of the region with the aim to transform the investment climate there and introducing the new economic model at the regional level,” the message reads.
At the same time, it is specified that Ukrainian authorities continues to support the Minsk peace process and negotiations in the Normandy format. However, he notes that this does not reflect the entire Ukrainian government’s strategy to go beyond the current conflict.
