Some 52 vocational educations from across the country will be able to equip 53 training and practical centers with new equipment and technology, the Ministry of Education and Science informs.

For this purpose, the government has allocated UAH 100 million subventions.

“The order, which stipulates for the distribution of the subvention to local budgets was adopted on August 26 during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers,” the message reads.

The Ministry of Education and Science changed the principle this year, according to which funds are allocated to establish practical training centers. For example, educational institutions that already have such centers, but wish to update or expand existing equipment, as well as material and technical base, could take part in the competition.

In addition, vocational educational institutions, together with the local authorities, independently determined the professions for which they want to establish practical training center. Since its creation should take place on the basis of co-financing for the first time, when making a decision, the managers took into account the priority directions for the regional labor market.

According to the plan, in the near future the decision on the distribution of the subvention will be considered by the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Budgetary Issues. However, the administrations of the educational institutions, which will receive resources for the arrangement of the centers, already can start the procedures for the necessary purchases.
