NBU: Ukrainian PROSTIR cards to be accepted abroad

Ukrainian PROSTIR cards will be accepted abroad. This became possible due to cooperation with the Chinese UnionPay International, Finclub reports, citing the Deputy Head of the National Bank of Ukraine Oleksiy Shaban, as saying.

According to him, the first co-badging PROSTIP and Union Pay cards will appear in Ukraine by the end of the year. Oleksiy Shaban stressed that this card will work both in Ukraine and abroad. He also hopes that this will allow the cards of the Ukrainian payment system to compete with Visa and Mastercard.
