The Cabinet of Ministers has allocated almost UAH 540 million to provide disinfectants to students of general secondary education institutions, the Ministry of Education and Science reports.
“Schools will be able to additionally purchase disinfectants for hands and skin, as well as surfaces. We should ensure the safe of children in institutions of general secondary education, especially 1-4 grades, after the holidays,” the Acting Minister of Education and Science Serhiy Shkarlet said.
The ministry clarified that the government has made changes to the Procedure and conditions for providing subventions from the state budget to local budgets to ensure high-quality, modern and affordable general secondary education “New Ukrainian School” reform. This will contribute to the targeted allocation of funds to provide schools with disinfectants.
The solution will also help to maintain a safe learning environment during quarantine and carry out sanitary and disinfection measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
