G20 to extend debt relief for poor countries to mid-2021

The leaders of the G20 countries approved an extension of the freeze on debt payments by the poor countries until the middle of next year.

The G20’s debt relief initiative has helped 46 countries delay USD 5.7 billion in debt payments this year, LB.ua reports citing Reuters. The heads of the G20 countries urge private lenders to join such initiatives.
