The US MQ-9 Reaper UAV, the Ukrainian air defense worked out training tasks in western Ukraine. This was reported by the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This is the second time the MQ-9 Reaper unmanned aerial vehicle has been training with the Ukrainian Air Force since the Clear Sky exercise.
The main goal of the exercises was to exchange experience in the field of air defense and response to urgent challenges. In particular, the units of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will carry out identification, tracking, target acquisition for simulation of the destruction of the MQ-9 Reaper UAV.
According to Kevin O’Brien, representative of the US Air Force delegation in Europe, this will support the Ukrainian air defense units in the use of ground-based air command anti-aircraft missile forces.
