The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Advisory Board, which is the regulator in the United States, has approved Pfizer’s coronavirus vaccine. This was reported by AP.

“The FDA Advisory Board voted 17 in favor, four against (one abstained) and concluded that vaccines are safe and effective against coronavirus for people over 16,” the statement said.

Over the coming days, the FDA should take into account the recommendations issued by the advisers. This will enable the United States to distribute millions of doses of vaccine to begin vaccinations for healthcare workers and residents of long-term care homes.
