The capital’s medical budget for 2020 saved funds will be used to provide treatment for coronavirus patients by the end of the year, the Kyiv City State Administration said.
According to the director of the Health Department of the Kyiv City State Administration Valentyna Ginzburg, this founds totals more than UAH 400 million.
“The Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers exempted the purchase of goods, works and services of medicine from taxation. This gives us the opportunity, by making changes to the program “Health of Kyiv citizens” 2020-2022, to direct the released funds to urgent needs. In this case – to provide coronavirus patients with quality treatment,” she explained.
The Department of Healthcare submitted the corresponding draft decision on changes to the program for consideration by the Kyiv City Council.
