As a result of bad weather due to the operation of the protection system of power lines on December 25, 214 settlements were de-energized, the press service of the State Emergencies Service reports.
Residents of 76 settlements in Poltava region, 73 in Chernihiv, 25 in Sumy, 16 in Kyiv, 16 in Kirovohrad and 8 in Zhytomyr region were left without electricity.
Rescuers warn that significant snow is predicted in the eastern and northeastern regions of the country, as well as wet snow, its adhesion and ice. Ice is expected on the roads.
In the eastern and southeastern regions, wind gusts up to 20 meters per second are possible.
