Ukraine reported 5,335 coronavirus cases over past day, with the highest figure in Kyiv city, Odesa and Zaporizhzhia regions. The Minister of Health of Ukraine announced this on his Facebook page.
Over the past day, the highest number of confirmed cases was registered in Kyiv city (846), Odesa (682), Zaporizhzhia (418), Cherkasy (376) and Poltava (376) regions.
As of 4 January, 1,280 people were hospitalized; 13 850 people recovered. During the day, 39,286 tests for coronavirus were done (PCR – 24,154, ELISA – 15,132).
Since the beginning of the pandemic in Ukraine, 1,083,585 cases of coronavirus were recorded, 747,408 people have recovered, and 19,129 people have died.
