In 2021, the UK will lead the G7 ambassadors’ support group for Ukraine. This is stated in the message of the group of ambassadors of the G7 countries on Twitter.
“Happy New Year! The UK, as the chair of the G7, is proud to chair the G7 Ambassadors’ support group for Ukraine this year. Many thanks to the US Embassy in Kyiv for its excellent chairmanship of this group in 2020,” the message reads.
The G7 page says that the ambassadors of the G7 countries are looking forward to working closely with partners to support Ukraine in implementing reforms.
The UK has promised to share information soon on the role of the G7 and its priorities for 2021.
