JFO: Militants use heavy mortars in Donbas

January 31, the militants fired at Ukrainian positions in Donbas nine times. This was reported by the press center of the JFO command.

In the area of ​​responsibility of the “Shid” operational-tactical group near Vodiane in Azov Sea region, the enemy opened fire from a 120mm mortar, automatic easel, anti-tank and under-barrel grenade launchers, as well as heavy machine guns and small arms.

The headquarters stressed that the enemy used a wing-type unmanned aerial vehicle to adjust fire, which was suppressed and made it unusable by electronic warfare.

Near Lebedynske, the enemy carried out a provocative shelling from an 82mm mortar, near Pisky from automatic easel grenade launchers. Near Opytne, several bursts from small arms towards the Ukrainian positions were recorded, and in the suburb of Avdiivka – from a heavy machine gun.
