Some 117 settlements in 5 regions of Ukraine were left without power supply due to the bad weather, according to the press service of the State Emergencies Service.
“As of 7A on January 27, in a result of the complication of weather conditions (wet snow, rain and gusts of wind) was triggered the automatic transmission line protection system which resulted in 117 settlements in five regions were de-energized, namely: in Zhytomyr (79 settlements), Kyiv (13), Odesa (13), Chernihiv (11) and Zaporizhzhia (1) regions,” the message reads.
Regional power distribution companies deployed their brigades to tackle with energy supply problem.
