This was stated by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko during his speech on the occasion of the Infantry Day in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas.
“The number of military personnel serving under the contract in Ukrainian army has reached 85% out of the total number of the Armed Forces. The number of reservists has increased up to 200,000 soldiers,” Poroshenko said.
The head of state also recalled that he instructed the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine to implement a program of building dormitories with improved layout for contract soldiers serving in military camps, Ukrinform reports.
As The Journalist reported, Poroshenko said monetary support of servicemen will be UAH 10,400.
