Abromavičius: Ukroboronprom seems outdated, it is necessary to change concern’s specialists

The head of the Supervisory Board of the state-owned concern Ukroboronprom Aivaras Abromavicius said that the procurement, finance and the legal sphere are the weak spots of the concern, and advocated the change the relevant specialists of the concern.

Thus, Ukroboronprom ranks 80th in the world in terms of arms production and is not a modern company.

“Ukroboronprom in terms of managerial approaches, in the selection of products, or in the amount of investments in fixed assets is not a modern company. Everything is quite outdated. We have lost part of the traditional markets where we sold part of the products,” Abromavicius said on the air of NV Radio.

To the head of the Supervisory Board, it is needed to “evaluate what is good [in the concern – ed.], and to change the rest.”

“We have the ability to sell our products in world markets. There are people with knowledge of foreign languages ​​who know the local culture, local approaches, etc. Although they are often being “demonized” in our media,” Abromavičius noted.

Speaking about the weak points of Ukrobronprom, Abromavičius said: “Everything related to procurement, finance, legal matters […] Unfortunately, concern has specialists with low qualifications. And they need to be changed.”
