On February 6, the current President of the United States, Donald Trump, delivered a traditional message to Congress on the state of affairs in the country. During his speech, he noted that there was a specially invited Judah Samet in the hall. The corresponding video was posted to YouTube on the euronews channel.

Samet in October 2018 survived the attack on a synagogue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Trump said that this was not the only case when the veteran had miraculously escaped death – during the Second World War, he spent 10 months in a Nazi concentration camp.
On the day of the President’s address to the Congress, Samet turned 81 years old. The deputies and senators, having learned about it, sang the traditional congratulation “Happy birthday”, and Trump even conducted a little bit of this unexpected chorus.

“For me, they wouldn’t sing like that, Judah,” stressed Trump at the end.
