As «The Journalist» reported, Court will questions Hanna Herman in Yanukovych treason case.

According to the former adviser of Viktor Yanukovych Hanna Herman, former president of Ukraine fled from country in order to prevent a civil war.

She said this at the Obolon District Court of Kyiv which holds a court hearing on the state treason case of former president of Ukraine, Gordon.ua informs.

«Even his escape from Ukraine was in order to prevent sowing more discord in Ukraine, because he did not want his presence to lead to an escalation of the conflict. Yanukovych took his decision to leave Ukraine when he realized that a civil war might begin», – Herman said.

However, ex-MP says that Yanukovych left Kiev on February 21, 2014, but told her that he was not going to leave the state.

On the question asked by Judge Vladislav Devyatka , whether Herman was acquainted with a letter from Yanukovych to Russian President Vladimir Putin on March 1, 2014, she answered she had not seen this letter.
