The Hague District Court begins regular hearings in the case of Malaysia Airlines MH17 flight crash in 2014.
The defense will be able to respond to materials submitted by the Dutch prosecutors at previous meetings. The hearings were adjourned for a week to allow the defense to prepare, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
At the meeting were presented defense of one of the four suspects, the lieutenant colonel of the GRU of the Russian Federation Oleg Pulatov.
The second block of court hearings in the case of MH17 were held on June 8-10. Then, the parties reported on the work done and the information collected, and the prosecutors disclosed details of the investigation. The Dutch prosecutor is counting on the Hague District Court to be able to start a case “on the merits” in the fall. However, the defense is doubt that this is possible.
