AP deputy head explains why Poroshenko canceled bill on illegal enrichment

The decision by the Constitutional Court on recognition of the article on illegal enrichment as unconstitutional was politically motivated, said the deputy head of the Presidential Administration Ruslan Riaboshapka.

“We are well aware that the decision of the Constitutional Court was not motivated by legal motives, but political ones. The attempts to get some kind of indulgence or amnesty for their capital by the outgoing authorities were the main reason for such Constitutional Court decision,” the AP deputy head noted.

Riaboshapka also recalled that European experts did not recognize the article on illegal enrichment as unconstitutional.

As The Journalist reported, Poroshenko goes to parliament to become the “father of the nation”.
