Austria will allocate EUR 1M in humanitarian aid for Donbas

Austria plans to allocate EUR 1 million of humanitarian aid to Donbas in order to support the civilian population in the conflict zone. This was stated by the Federal President of Austria Alexander Van der Bellen at a joint press conference with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in Vienna, Ukrinform reports.

“For Austria, the issue of the life of the population in the conflict region is especially important, therefore, we provide appropriate humanitarian assistance, especially to internally displaced persons. I am glad that during the visit of President Zelensky, we were able to promise and confirm that we will provide EUR 1 million in assistance for further assistance to this region,” Van der Bellen said.

Van der Bellen thanked Zelensky for his initiatives that concern the civilian population in Donbas.
