After consulting with the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Austrian Justice Minister Clemens Jabloner has authorized the extradition of Ukrainian oligarch Dmytro Firtash, DW reports.
Questions of extradition arrest and the further transfer of Dmytro Firtash to the United States are now decided by the Land Court of Vienna. Firtash’s defense has already filed a motion to reopen the extradition proceedings.
Thus, Firtash will remain in Austria after the court rules on the corresponding motion.
