Belarus plans to start importing oil into its refineries through the Odessa-Brody pipeline in March. This was announced by the deputy head of the Belneftekhim concern Vladimir Sizov, Belta reports.

Belarus purchase alternative oil using the southern route through Ukraine currently. Several tankers are expected to arrive soon. Sizov did not specify from where exactly Belarus plans to receive oil.

“We are working on the purchase of resources in the Black Sea. There is an opportunity to purchase resources from both the production of an Azerbaijani company and a manufacturer from Russia,” Sizov said.

As The Journalist reported, Ukraine, Belarus intend to restore shipping on the Dnieper and Prypiat rivers.
