The new US Administration, under the leadership of Joseph Biden, John Kerry, one of the few holders of the Silver Star, an award given for courage, will be engaged in climate protection, Euronews reports.

According to observers, the new White House intends to revive the traditions of Atlanticism, that is, to strengthen alliances with NATO and the EU.

Antony Blinken will become the new head of the foreign ministry.

“Antony Blinken started out as a journalist. He received a degree from Harvard, after graduating from the law faculty of the equally prestigious Columbia University. He is very familiar with the corridors in the West Wing of the White House, where he was the Deputy Assistant for National Security under President Obama,” the publication specifies.

Also, if Alejandro Mallorcas is approved for the post of Minister of Homeland Security on Capitol Hill, then for the first time in US history, this post will be taken by an immigrant of Cuban origin.

Biden nominated Linda Thomas-Greenfield as Permanent Representative to the UN.

Avril Haines, 51, is set to lead the National Intelligence Agency.

The head of the Federal Reserve System (US Central Bank) Janet Yellen is to take over as Treasury Secretary, becoming, if approved by the Senate, the first woman to hold the post.
