Boeing Aerospace Corporation conducted successful tests of the first operating prototype of the city air taxi. The video of the test was published on the company’s official Twitter.
Engineers reported that the device safely take of into the air, hovered for a few minutes and landed.

Boeing technical director Greg Hislop noted that during the year the company managed to go from a conceptual project to a flying prototype.
After the first successful tests, another tests are planned to be conducted during the transition phase from vertical to direct flight mode. The company noted that this phase is one of the most difficult engineering challenges.
