Russian militants shelled the Donetsk filtering station and it shuts down again,- the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported.
«On May 17, at 21:40 pm, in the result of shelling, the switchboard room was damaged, so the Donetsk filtering station (located in the demarcation line), which provides water to Avdiyivka (about 22 thousand inhabitants), was shutted down», – the message said.
The regular water supplies come from the local water storages, reported UNIAN.
«The maintenance works are scheduled for today, May 18. If it is necessary to provide the population with water, the supply will be provided hourly from the Avdiyivka’s reservoir», – the message said.
As «The Journalist» reported, Ukrainian army is ready to provide the inhabitants of Avdiyivka with water.
