More than 50 dead after Taliban attack in Afghanistan

Due to the attacks of the Islamist Taliban militants on February 4 and 5, at least 50 people died in Afghanistan, The Washington Post reported.
"The first attack was carried out on a military base in the province of Kunduz after midnight and lasted about two hours,” the Chairman of the council of the province Mohammad Yusuf Ayuba said.
It is known that at least 23 soldiers and three local police officers were killed, and another 12 people were injured.
A Taliban spokesperson confirmed that Islamist Taliban militants carried out the attack. According to him, they captured three police checkpoints.
In addition, the authorities reported two more attacks in Afghanistan, in which at least 21 people were killed.
On the evening of February 4, the Taliban attacked a checkpoint in the northern province of Baghlan, as a result of which 11 law enforcement officers were killed. Also, five policemen were injured, the Taliban seized all weapons and ammunition.
