Brazil sent army to Venezuela border

Brazilian President Michel Temer signed a decree to deploy the armed forces to the Venezuela border, which is connected with an increase of the number of migrants from said country, Dnoticias.pt news agency reports.

About 120 servicemen were sent to the north of the Latin American state (Roraima) to prevent incidents involving the influx of migrants from Venezuela.

«Today I authorized the use of the armed forces to ensure law and order in the state of Roraima,» – the Brazilian leader said.

The President noted that this taken measure is necessary to ensure the safety of the Brazilians and the settlers themselves.
