British Secretary of State for Defense Williamson visited JFO zone

British delegation, led by the Secretary of State for Defense of Great Britain Gavin Williamson, visited JFO zone. Delegation was accompanied by Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine for European Integration, Lieutenant-General Anatolii Petrenko. Work of foreign guests began in Kramatorsk. There, members of the delegation met with the commander of JOF, Lieutenant-General Serhii Naev.
As part of the briefing, Serhii Naiev spoke about situation in JFO zone and along the state border of Ukraine with the Russian Federation, which is part of the responsibility of the United forces.

In particular, Serhii Nayev called specific facts of use of weapons of Russian origin against military units conducting military operations in the east of Ukraine. He also told Gavin Williamson about measures being taken by JOF to counter Russian aggression and stabilize situation on territory of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts.
It is noted that Gavin Williamson visited the advanced lines of defense, where he personally communicated with JOF fighters. According to the Secretary of State for Defense of Great Britain, he was most struck by the steadfastness and courage of Ukrainian fighters who are fighting against one of the most aggressive armies in the world.

During the visit, Williamson added that Ukraine will continue to receive assistance and full support from the UK.
